Is your pup getting all of their vitamins in their meals? Well we know this is something that can be tough to achieve so we wanted to share a few super foods we add to our pup’s meals to make sure they are the healthiest doggos they can be and nutrition plays a huge role in this!
Salmon
The omega-3 fatty acids in salmon are great for you and great for your bestie. The healthy fats boost the immune system while keeping your dog's coat looking shiny and strong.
Blueberries
Blueberries are a superfood rich in antioxidants, which prevent cell damage in humans and canines alike. These nutrients support the immune system and contribute to the overall health of your pup.
Eggs
They are high in protein, fatty acids, vitamins, and fatty acids that help support your dog inside and out. If you want to introduce eggs to your dog's diet, add a cooked egg to their diet as raw eggs may upset your pup’s stomach when first adding this source of protein to their meals.
Turmeric
Turmeric contains a compound called curcumin. Curcumin for dogs has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-fungal, wound healing and anticancer activities. It is also linked to helping with ease arthritis your pup may have.
Coconut Oil
When added to pup’s food, it’s been known to improve skin and coats, aid in digestion, and soothe allergic reactions, Ease inflammation, Fight harmful fungi and bacteria, Make their coat glossy and more. It’s important to consult with your veterinarian about how much to give your pup as coconut oil is high in calories and too much could raise cholesterol levels.
