The story of Dog Threads all started with a pup named Thomas. Thomas is the good boy that inspired both Dog Threads and Dog Club Social.
This cute fluffy boy was born in Los Angeles in 2007 and would soon come to meet his mom Gina later that year. Gina was 18 years old when they first met and they were really able to grow up together. Their first few years were spent together in California where Gina was in fashion school learning to design clothes. Thomas was still a little guy when Gina decided to move back to her home of Minneapolis.
Gina and Thomas were inseparable, he was her soul dog — the kind of dog she would never forget. Gina would then meet Scott who would become a part of their family. Thomas had such a human-like personality Gina knew he deserved to have something to show this off...what better than a custom wardrobe? So she started designing and creating her own clothing for Thomas and matching shirts for herself of course, and soon enough, friends and family began asking for similar outfits for their own pets. This led Gina and Scott to launch Dog Threads, which has since become a popular brand in the pet industry.
Although Thomas passed away in November of 2018 he is huge pillar in our company today. As we continue to expand our brand we are going back to our roots: Thomas. His legacy lives on through every dog shirt, dog hoodie, dog Hawaiian shirt — from big dog clothing to small dog outfits he influenced it all.
